U.S. Should Adopt Mexican Immigration Law

The solution to the immigration problem presented itself May 19, 2010 I would think President Obama would agree, since the answer came from his counterpart from Mexico, and the Democrats gave him a standing ovation when he criticized the Arizona law

The answer for Arizona and the United States is to pass the Mexican Immigration Law and enforce it as stringently as Mexico does Below are some points to consider:

Summary of Mexico’s Immigration Law:

What potential immigrants must do BEFORE entering the country:

Complete and file a written application for permission to enter the country
Provide proper identification
Pass a criminal background check
Prove they are healthy
Prove they can provide for future health care needs
Prove they are financially able to take care of themselves and their immigrant families
Prove how they will be a contributor to the Mexican government and/or society

Once in the country, legal immigrants must:

Obtain a work permit before taking a job (Immigrants caught working without a permit are deported)
Carry immigration papers at all time
Present their papers ANYTIME a police officer asks (police can ask at any time for any reason)

Penalties under the law:

llegal immigration is a felony punishable by up to two years in prison
Immigrants who are deported and attempt to reenter Mexico can be imprisoned for 10 years
Visa violators can be sentenced to six year terms
Mexicans who help illegal immigrants are considered criminals
